CORI - CREDENTIAL OPPORTUNITIES BY REGION AND INDUSTRY
DATA-DRIVEN INSIGHT ON CAREER OPPORTUNITY
Seventy to eighty percent of students look for education and career opportunities within 50 miles of where they went to high school. The good news is that there are family-wage jobs and careers in every corner of the state. However, the majority of those jobs will require a credential beyond a high school diploma.
This tool informs 2-year and 4-year colleges, apprenticeship providers, employers, and K-12 schools about what career pathways are available in their region. They can compare the data to future job openings so that they can work with the community to add or scale programs.
We encourage you to take a look at the data from your region to see what credentials and jobs are available. If you’d like to learn more about how you can help support credential and career pathways for students in your region, connect with your local STEM Network.
Washington STEM provides this data and dashboard at no cost because we believe this information is so critical for students to make smart choices about their future, there should be no barrier to accessing this kind of career and education planning information.
